Australian Outback Vintage Mystery Purse

Here's another treasure I picked-up while in Australia, a weird but wonderful handbag.
I'm not really sure what material it's made off?
A reptile, lizard, kangaroo or just embossed leather? It has a stiff feel to the bag.
The shape is so unique and constructed with practical features. Measures 10" tall, 9" wide, 3" deep
A perfect strap for your shoulder at 22" (it might be adjustable) and an insert flap for closure.
Seems to be in very nice condition! What a cool bag!
